易胜博 seeks to create a campus environment that promotes healthy, responsible living; affirms civility; supports the well-being of each of its members 和 is respectful of 状态 和 federal laws 和 institutional regulations 政府erning behavior. Respect for campus 和 community st和ards 和 regulations are expected. Alcohol abuse 和 illicit drug use will minimize an individual’s abilities to develop his or her academic or social relationships 和 is contrary to the educational process 和 goals of higher education.

Students, by their association with 易胜博, will abide by college conduct policies. 然而,这 学生行为准则 does not replace nor does it reduce any requirements of civil or criminal law imposed upon citizens as members of the larger community. 因此, students who violate civil or criminal law may be subject to both legal 和 college sanctions for the same conduct when the conduct occurs off campus but is related to the college community.

Alcohol consumption causes several changes in behavior 和 physiology. Even low doses significantly impair judgment, 协调, 和 abstract mental functioning. Users often have a lowered immune system 和 an increased risk of lung cancer. 大麻中的活性成分, THC, is stored in the fatty tissues of the brain 和 reproductive system for a minimum of 28 to 30 days.

 

迷幻剂. Lysergic acid (LSD), mescaline, 和 psilocybin cause illusions 和 幻觉. The user may experience panic, confusion, suspicion, anxiety, 和 loss of control. 即使停止使用,延迟效应或闪回也会发生. Phencyclidine (PCP) affects the section of the brain that controls the intellect 和 keeps instincts in check. Because the drug blocks pain receptors, violent PCP episodes may result in self-inflicted injuries.
